~Introduction~
Hey guys it's Admiral Polo here! For those of you who don't know I really enjoy making guides, all of my guides so far have been on my Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/admiralpolo, but I wanted to expand and try making some written guides but still incorporating my videos into the guide. The video will go into some topics more in depth than I can if I were to write the entire thing, which is why the video will be a big part of this guide. If there is any typos (there will be) or anything else that should be changed please feel free to comment and I will do my best to change it.


~Skeletal Wyvern Monster Information~
Combat Level: 140
Life Points: 2,000
Slayer Level Required: 72
Slayer XP: 210
Assigned by: Duradel or Lapalok, and Kuradal
Attack Style: Melee, Range, and Ice Breath
Max Hit: 139 with Melee or Range, 100 with Ice Breath if wearing shield, 500+ with Ice Breath without shield.
Weakness: Crush

~Skeletal Wyvern Notable Drops~

100%-Wyvern Bones (4,377 GP)
Very Rare-Draconic Visage (8.6M)
Common-2-11 Blood Runes (466-2,563 GP)
Common-5-22 Runite Bolts(4,785-21,054 GP)
Rare-Granite Legs (42,400 GP)
Common-Crimson Charms along with other less common Charms

~Gear and Inventory Setups~

Note: You must wear one of the ELEMENTAL SHIELDS OR DRAGONFIRE SHIELD AT ALL TIMES. NOT AN ANTI-DRAGON SHIELD.

Melee Tank: This is used when you DO NOT Pray and simply tank the Wyvern's damage.


You can switch the Bandos and Fury for less expensive gear such as Verac's or Torag's and an Amulet of Glory.

Melee Prayer: This method is used when you Pray Protect from Melee and Piety.


You can either use Initiate or Proselyte armour and again switch the Fury for a Glory if you can't afford one.

Range: This is used when you Pray Protect from Range and Eagle Eye or Rigour and range the Wyvern's of course.


You can switch the Karil's for Black Dragonhide or upgrade it to Armadyl. Use Adamant Bolts or better. (Broad Bolts are equal to Adamant)

Helpful Hints and Tricks: The above inventory and gear setups are what I personally bring. Some things that you should take into consideration are the following. If you are using a stabbing weapon such as the Chaotic Rapier wearing an Ardy Cloak 3/4 instead of the Firecape or Obsidian Cape is better because of the +6 Stab and Prayer Bonuses that the Ardy Cloak provides. If you are all about speed you can speed up your task by bringing 3-5 Prayer Potions with the Melee Tank method and use Piety/Turmoil throughout the entire task. A downside to using Piety/Turmoil is that you will not make as much profit during the task. You may also consider bringing a Dragon Mace instead of a Dragon Dagger for a Special Weapon because of the fact that Skeletal Wyverns are weak to Crush. Although bringing the mace will sacrifice the dagger being able to poison the Wyverns. Another useful Special Weapon is the Enhanced Excalibur because of its healing affects. This will however slow down your kills per hour slightly.


~How to Get There~

There are a few ways to get to the Asgarnia Ice Dungeon which is where the Skeletal Wyverns are located. I will show you a picture of different routes used for getting to the dungeon and a map of the dungeon itself. For additional help, I will show my character running to the dungeon in the video at the end of this guide.


~How to Kill Skeletal Wyverns~

I explain briefly what to do in each of the Gear setups and explain in depth during the video, but here are some helpful tips. If you are using the Melee Tank method be sure to pay attention to when you get frozen because if auto-retaliate is off and you get frozen you will not attack the Wyven and just sit there taking damage. If you are using the Prayer method switch to Protect from Range when you are looting a Wyvern. This is because you will get hit by other Wyverns using their range attack if you do not pray, thus wasting your food. When you Range the Wyverns always make sure to hug the door because if you don't they will move towards you causing them to melee you and you will take damage that otherwise you could avoid. Again I will explain these things more in depth in the video.

~Cannoning Skeletal Wyverns~

Cannoning Skeletal Wyverns can result in a loss of money during the task but can speed up the task greatly. While cannoning it is advised not to pick up the bones and bank them unless you have a Pak Yak. This is because it will slow down your task and if you are using a cannon you are going for speed not profit.

Inventory (Same Gear Applies): When cannoning it is recommended to use prayer to protect yourself from the Wyverns attack. It is up to you if you go for a prayer bonus or use the Melee Tank gear to speed up your kills even more. For the most part the Inventory doesn't change, just choose an option above and add a Cannon and C'balls.
